at Kasar Devi, India
April 04 - 13, 2026
A 7-day yoga retreat (excluding traveling to the destination) in the Himalayan village of Kasar Devi in Uttarakhand, India. All these activities with a panaromic view of the Himalayan mountains, healthy meals and comfortable stay is what you will enjoy in this one-week retreat.

The village is known as Kasar Devi because of the Kasar Devi Temple, a shrine dedicated to Kasar Devi (Goddess Kasar). The temple dates back to 2nd Century C.E. and is surrounded by Pine and Deodar trees. A short hike from the main road through stairs takes one to the top of the hill where the temple is located.
The temple has a beautiful view of the snow-peaked Himalayan range as a part of the 360 degrees view from the top. The temple consists of two different group of temples within the compound. One for the Devi and the other for Lord Shiva and Bhairava. The main temple consists of Akhand Jyoti (Eternal Flame) which has been burning 24 hours for several years. The temple is often visited by groups of monkeys who have learned to live among humans.
